Jay began his recruiting career in 1995, with one of the largest privately owned technical recruiting firms in the world. It was here that he learned the fundamentals of recruiting, business development, and operations management. During this time Jay helped open the San Antonio branch, lead divisions in engineering, scientific, telecommunications, and accounting & finance. His ability to establish credibility and build relationships are key to developing a large database of talent. He achieved the “Circle of Champions” for exceeding sales goals for several consecutive years.

Through a brief stint in small business consulting Jay learned the basic mechanics of small business operations. During this time it became clear he was ready to test his entrepreneurial spirit and thus began True North. True North has achieved consistent revenue and client growth, and recently weathered one of the toughest economic downturns in history, a task too difficult for many established firms. With a solid and scalable platform now in place, Jay is ready to launch the True North brand into new markets.

Jay enjoys building and improving True North, bird hunting, offshore fishing, health and fitness, and camping. He has been very happily married since 1995, and has two charming and beautiful daughters who love competitive cheerleading. Jay is also an active member in his church where he has spent more than a decade leading Sunday school for children and teens.
